How we review platforms

Remote Jobs Library uses a structured directory format so different platforms can be compared consistently. We focus on information that helps a job seeker decide whether a platform is worth investigating further.

What we evaluate

  • Platform type: job board, freelance marketplace, agency, community, or information resource.
  • Role coverage and specialist categories.
  • Geographic availability and whether the platform is worldwide or region-specific.
  • Pricing model when that information is available.
  • Whether the platform focuses specifically on remote work.
  • Basic directory data such as the platform website, description, tags, and founding year when available.

What the rating means

Ratings are editorial directory scores designed to help sort and compare entries. They are not guarantees of job quality, employer quality, earnings, or a successful application.

Safety and verification

Remote work scams exist. Always verify the employer or client, review the original listing, protect sensitive information, and be cautious with requests for upfront payments or unusual financial transactions.
